The St. Stephen’s-Broadway Foundation is an incorporated non-profit, charitable organization with an annual revenue of approximately $45,000.00. The foundation supports projects which are within the concern and interest of the Church, such as outreach work (home and abroad), Art (drama, music, etc.), and Christian Education in the widest sense. Applications may be sponsored by groups or individuals. The foundation, in turn, gratefully accepts bequests and donations in order to further its work.
Funds should be used to initiate or promote projects which can become self-sustaining or which can attract alternative support. Grants should not be used to foster a dependence on the foundation. Christian individuals or groups are welcome to nominate a project for support.
The foundation meets twice a year to consider grant applications. The deadlines for the grant applications are March 15 and September 15 each year. An application must include the name and address of the organization, a description of the project, and the proposed budget. Other sources may be required.
Bursaries for Theological Students from both the United Church of Canada and the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Canada may be given upon approval of one’s application by the foundation’s Board of Directors. Theological student bursary applications must be submitted by May 31 each year.
Application forms (grant and bursary) are available by calling 204-943-2658 or by writing to the following address:
